You can read all of the blog posts are marketing blurb about new versions of this and that but it’s really only when you start to use the software that you discover all of the minor features.
When Apple release something like iOS 6 with the blurb that reads 200 new features, they only ever promote a handful of them.
Today, I found one that I think think is really cool.
Making folders with Notes
I’ve been using the Notes app in OS X, and iOS since iCloud came out, basically because it means I can start notes on one device and move to another and it all just comes with me.
Only problem I have. I have a lot of notes.
I’ve been really wishing for a way of organising them and then I click on the File menu and there it is New Folder.
The rest is fairly obvious, you can create notes in that folder and you can drag notes you already have and place them in the folder.
Do the folders sync with you iOS devices?
Oh yes they do, just click the Account button on iPhone or iPad and you’ll now see your folder list.
On the Mac, as soon as you make a folder, you see a new menu on the left that shows them all for you.
Happy note taking!
