A new feature, in what must be preparation for all of the changes announced at last weeks Apple keynote, you’re now able to re-download apps that you’ve either purchased in the past or purchased on another iOS device.
Simply open up the App store on your iPhone, click on Updates and you should see at the top of the list a heading that is Purchased. From there you’ll see a list of everything you’ve purchased.
There is a catch, it’s everything you’ve purchased. Which means every app that you’ve tried and discarded is also there. I can’t see an option to be able to delete this but surely over time Apple will introduce a way to exterminate an app for good.
No complaints from me though, it’s nice not to have to sync to get apps purchased in iPad on your iPhone.
