Well this could be it.
Air Display from Avatron Software is a top App and one I think is well worth the $12.99 (Australian App store) purchase price. What it does is simple in end result. Stand the iPad next to your MacBook (or desktop Mac, iMac etc..) and it becomes a secondary display. If you’ve used two monitors on your Mac before you’ll know the routine, you can either have it mirror your display or extend your desktop, meaning you can drag individual windows from your main desktop and place them on the iPad display.
Now for the cool bit, when used as a display like this, the iPad touch screen functionality is still there, so you can scroll up and down windows, punch in numbers on a calculator app and even drag windows around.
I spend some of my time programming, and it’s great for this. I have my text editor on the main screen of my MacBook Pro and now have secondary applications like a FTP client, iTunes or an image viewer on the laptop. I have it setup on the desk so the iPad is within easy reach of my non-mouse hand, making it fairly intuitive to just reach and touch the iPad.
What’s the catch?
Well it works over WiFi so you need to have both the Mac and your iPad on the same WiFi network, if you can tick that box there is not much else to know.
There are a few reviews popping up now of this top application, so for more reading check out these links:-
