Here at AppleLife.TV we write about 1Password regularly – it’s true we love it. Other than OS X itself there’s not another app or utility that I use more than 1Password. So in this post I’ll share 2 more quick ideas that will help you get the most out of this great app.
Dock Shortcut launch
When you have 1Password running, there is a very quick way to get it to open a new browser window and quickly log into one of the service that you have configured. Instead of clicking on it with your main mouse button, use the alternative mouse button or Control click the 1Password icon in the dock and you get an expanding menu, where you then can choose a service to quickly log into.
The image below shows this expanding menu in action.
Sync your iPhone/iPad with Dropbox
If you have already setup 1Password to sync with Dropbox on your desktop or laptop computers you can also get the syncing to work on your iDevices via Dropbox. Until recently I used to use Wifi syncing for iPhone and iPad but ultimately I think it’s easier to do it all via Dropbox. You don’t even need to have the iPhone Dropbox app installed.
Setup is as easy as turning it on and entering your Dropbox username and password. See the screen shots opposite and below.
