When you buy new iDevices (iPhone/iPod/iPad), with each of these products you get a shiny new USB cable. Still when the dreaded red 20% battery remaining warning shows, it’s just not easy to find one that’s available.
Sure there are plenty of them kicking around the office but people become very protective of them. Asking to borrow one can lead to looks of “when will I get it back?”, “I’ll need that before I go home today”. Alternatively everyone’s lost their’s and if you find one can they borrow it too?
It’s as if the unseen monster that steals socks around washing time has matured and now has a fancy for plastic coated Apple cables.
So what’s the solution?
Well I have started to look around at some of the new products that are a mix of dock and charging station. Some that I’ve seen suit many brands of devices, coming with cables for not just Apple products but other makes of phones, music players and portable gaming. If you’re more Apple centric however the need for a Nokia charger becomes less of a concern.
So take a look at this baby!
This is the iPADock from a Japanese company PhotoFast – http://photofast.co.jp/
Not only can you sync and charge multiple iPhones and iPads, there are also slots to read a slew of memory cards and from the photos on the manufacture’s web site, it even looks good.
Do you have a dock/charging product you can recommend?
Having a quick look around in e-bay Australia I can’t see any of these available, nor a local supplier. So before I go on the hunt to purchase direct from Japan, if you have a product that is close to this one, why not drop a comment and share your experience?
